Very smartly plotted, with a huge and satisfying expansion of the fictional world from The Magicians. (Which is also great, if you didn’t know.) Not as thematically focused as its predecessor, but poignant nevertheless and a lot of fun. As a writer, it sometimes made me seethe with jealousy, but mostly just impressed the sh*t out of me.
Also, I learned the word “fug” from it.
