Everything You Need to Survive the Apocalypse is my debut young adult novel. Published in January 2012 by Simon Pulse, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, it has received some very kind praise and a starred review from Booklist. It also is an Amazon.com Best of the Month selection in YA and a Barnes & Noble Teen Expert pick. Feel free to shorten the title to plain old Apocalypse.
The story is basically about a boy named Phillip and a girl named Rebekah. It’s also about how the world might end any day now, feeling super-awkward all the time, cross country, things friends do that hurt you more than you’d admit to their faces, things you do that hurt people without you realizing it, youth group, and figuring out just what the hell it is that you really believe. Not to mention dads, moms, little brothers, God, and guys named Ferret.
